1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, submitting an application, or participating in an Alpha Arts program or event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by our Privacy Policy and Copyright Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
2. Use of the Website
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:
- interfere with the operation or security of the site;
- scrape, copy, or reproduce content beyond what our Copyright Notice permits;
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information; or
- use the site to harass, impersonate, or harm others.
3. Applications and Program Participation
Submitting an application to an internship, co-op, research program, mentorship class, or job posting does not guarantee acceptance. Places are limited and selection is at the discretion of Alpha Arts and, where applicable, our partner institutions. You confirm that the information and materials you submit are accurate and your own work.
Participants are expected to follow the code of conduct of Alpha Arts and of any host organization, and to meet the attendance and deadline requirements of their program.
4. Fees, Payments, and Cancellations
Where a program, class, or conference ticket carries a fee, the amount, payment schedule, and cancellation terms are stated at the time of registration. Alpha Arts may reschedule or cancel a session or event; in that case we will offer a replacement session or a refund of fees paid for the cancelled portion.
5. Intellectual Property
Website content is owned by Alpha Arts or its licensors, as described in our Copyright Notice. Participants keep ownership of the artwork and research they create, and grant Alpha Arts a non-exclusive right to display and document that work in connection with our programs, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
6. Photography and Media at Events
Photography and recording may take place at conferences, exhibitions, and networking events for documentation and promotion. If you prefer not to appear in event media, let a member of our team know at the event or email us in advance.
7. Third-Party Links and Partners
This website links to partner institutions and external resources. Alpha Arts is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or organizations.
8. Disclaimer
The website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis. While we work to keep program details accurate and current, we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and program dates, partners, and details may change.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Alpha Arts is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
